This is the first time, I am writing about my experience with Guruji. Since the mid 80’s, we have been going to the Sthaan in Khar, as I was a child I don’t remember the exact address, but it was a bungalow near the current Sthaan in Khar.
I remember on Thursdays we would wait in the compound for Darshan and the lovely Kichdi Prasad. Once we were fortunate to meet Guruji, whom I always thought of as Bade Guruji in my mind. My grandmother, Mrs Daru was very worried about my sister and me as my parents were divorced and my mother did not have any home in mumbai. She told Guruji, “Bachche log ke pas ghar nahi hain” and Guruji told her “Ho jayega” and soon enough my mother had a house where we spent many happy years. I have lapsed and don’t go to the Sthan very often but as a child I started chanting “Om Namah Shiv Om Om Nanah Gurudev” and still do. Whenever I am in trouble I turn to Guruji and it leads to immense peace. I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but sometimes when I ask for help, I can sense Guruji laughing/smiling and the roadblocks suddenly vanish.
